L’utilisation de substituts de repas s’est avérée efficace. Modifast est utilisé depuis de nombreuses années dans le traitement de l’obésité. De ce fait, il existe désormais plusieurs études cliniques à ce sujet. Plusieurs d’entre elles montrent des résultats significatifs dans le domaine de la perte de poids au bout de 3, 6 et 12 mois, et des résultats tout aussi importants dans le maintien de la perte de poids et la réduction des facteurs de risque associés au surpoids.
